Who Can Freeze Their Eggs?
With the recent regulatory changes, women have been granted the right to freeze their eggs for medical necessity. Previously, only patients undergoing cancer treatment were granted this permission by the Ministry of Health. However, with the latest regulations, all women with low egg reserves are now entitled to the option of “egg freezing.” Young, married, single, or any woman with low egg reserves can freeze their eggs to preserve the possibility of becoming a mother whenever they choose.
Required medical conditions:
Before treatments that may damage egg cells, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer patients,
Before surgeries that may lead to loss of reproductive functions,
Women with low ovarian reserve who have not yet given birth or have a family history of early menopause, and can provide a health board report from three specialist physicians to certify the condition, regardless of age, are eligible for egg freezing
